About Gail Miller
The National Frame Building Association created this distinguished safety award in Gail Miller’s honor as a tribute to his concern for the safety of those who work in the industry. Gail volunteered his time and that of Wick for NFBA projects that were directed at improving the safety of postframe construction employees. He is missed and we dedicate this award to his memory. The award is to recognize winning companies' efforts in making their work sites safe for their employees. The award does not recognize a member company for their lost time accident rate or their workers’ compensation experience modification rate; it recognizes a company’s commitment to the safety of their employees. The winning companies all had extremely good communications programs. These programs communicated safety to new employees and continued to communicate with the entire workforce.
Applications are judged on each company’s commitment to safety. The NFBA Board of Directors urges all NFBA member builders to take the opportunity to receive national recognition for their commitment to safety and to honor Gail’s memory and his dedication to safety by applying for this award.
