2017 | Livestock Facilities | 2nd Place

Building:
Mark Buschelman
Built By:
Bob Carlyle - Wick Buildings
Location:
Fordyce, NE
Building use, importance, and newsworthiness:

This  is not a typical cattle confinement building. This building is designed with an open front that allows the cattle to enter and leave freely. The cattle enter the building to eat, which preserves the food, eliminates waste, and gives the cattle a sheltered place out of the elements.

Unique features:

The building has two wings that extend off a center building at 15 degree angles.

Post-frame advantage:

Post frame was chosen for speed of construction, lower shell cost per square foot, ease of modifications and additions in the future.

Duration to complete:

57 Days
