Free Student and Faculty Admission to Expo
Frame Building Expo Free Student/Faculty Admission Policy The National Frame Building Association (NFBA) is putting together an extensive educational programming lineup featuring academic faculty and industry experts for the annual NFBA Frame Building Expo. Students interested in a career in the construction industry and their instructors will want to come to take advantage of a special offer for free admission to the Expo. Contractors, manufacturers, distributors, architects, engineers, code officials and building owners will pay a reasonable registration fee for the event, but students and faculty may attend the convention for free with a valid student identification card or other proof of current enrollment. Pre-registration will be available online at www.nfba.org, and is strongly encouraged. Students and faculty must present the required identification at the convention center on one or more days to receive a special pass that will allow them access to educational programs and the trade show floor. Vocational and post-secondary students who study construction technology, engineering, architecture, industrial safety, animal housing and related fields will not want to miss this opportunity to network and learn about the post-frame building industry from construction experts. Students can learn from educational sessions on construction safety, business management, and engineering, architecture, and other topics offered on various days. They will also see the many products and services offered by exhibitors on the trade show floor, and can network to help them get involved in the industry. The Expo is a good choice for construction industry curriculum-related field trips. The Frame Building Expo is the ONLY event where post-frame industry professionals from across the nation can mingle and share ideas. Today’s students will become tomorrow’s construction professionals, and we want them to be aware of the capabilities of post-frame design so the industry will continue to grow. The association also has teaching aids, including videos, articles and power-point presentations, which instructors may request from NFBA to teach students about post-frame construction. In addition to the extensive technical educational opportunities, students will learn of many products used in the construction industry at the Expo. Those who visit the Expo Trade Show Floor may see the newest products, enter prize drawings and participate in special events. For more information, visit the "Frame Building Expo" section of NFBA's web site at www.nfba.org/Expo, or call NFBA Headquarters at 800/557-6957. To receive the free student/faculty registration, register using the Builder Community Registration Form and choose the student/faculty registration rate. Be sure to bring your ID with you onsite to qualify for this special rate.
