Membership Categories
What are the various NFBA Membership Categories?
Industry Partner (Supplier) Membership* $1,100 Academic Membership $65 NFBA Chapter Membership NFBA is affiliated with NFBA chapter organizations on the state and regional level. Following is a list of NFBA Chapter organizations in order of their establishment: 1977 Mid-Atlantic Chapter: This Chapter is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the states of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and North Carolina.
1978 Indiana Chapter: This Chapter is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the state of Indiana.
1979 Michigan Chapter: This Chapter is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the state of Michigan.
1985 Illinois/Missouri Chapter: This Chapter is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the states of Illinois and/or Missouri.
1986 Keystone (Pennsylvania) Chapter (defunct): This Chapter was comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the State of Pennsylvania until 2003, when it was incorporated into the Atlantic Northeast NFBA Chapter.
1986 Wisconsin Chapter: This Chapter, known as the Wisconsin Frame Builders Association, is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the state of Wisconsin.
1987 Buckeye (Ohio) Chapter: This Chapter is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the state of Ohio.
1988 North Central Chapter: This Chapter is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the states of Minnesota and North and South Dakota.
1991 Pacific Northwest Chapter: This Chapter is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, northern California and Nevada.
1992 CFBA Chapter: This Chapter, known as the Canadian Farm Builders Association, is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within Canada.
2003 Atlantic Northeast NFBA Chapter: This Chapter is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the states of Pensylvannia, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
2003 Tennessee/Kentucky NFBA Chapter: This Chapter is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the states of Kentucky and Tennessee.
2010 Heartland NFBA Chapter: This Chapter is comprised of members located, and/or doing business primarily within the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana and Kansas.
Chapter membership is optional, except for those who live within states that are covered by a "unified" chapter - to join either the chapter or the NFBA in those states. Unified chapters: Atlantic Northeast Gold Club Membership NFBA Gold Club Members rise above and beyond the call of duty to support their industry and their industry association. Each year an increasing number of NFBA members elect to become NFBA Gold Club Members. This elite group is responsible for making industry research and engineering possible. Over the years, Gold Club funds have been used in many important areas. Among these are: the Warnock Hersey one-hour fire test, which is referenced by builders everywhere as NFBA/WA 60-01; diaphragm design testing by Cornell University, which offers invaluable results prior to new design theories being put to actual use in day-to-day construction applications; keeping technical post-frame related standards up-to-date; funding research that sets industry tolerance standards and leads to the development of cutting-edge research that benefits the industry; the creation of the Post-Frame Building Design Manual and ongoing code challenges that require industry representatives to stand up and speak on your behalf. Gold Club membership is entirely voluntary and is open year round. Any member who invests 50 percent of their annual dues (up to $500) becomes a Gold Club member. Gold Club members are recognized each year at the annual trade show and are recognized in their listings on the NFBA web site with this special logo:
